Mine surveying is the practice of determining the relative positions of points on or beneath the surface of the earth by direct or indirect measurements of distance, direction & elevation.

What Role Does Surveying Play in Civil Engineering? Surveys are used to plan, build, and maintain all civil engineering projects. A full survey of the target area is usually necessary to determine its exact boundaries and to ensure that any buildings or other structures constructed there will be safe.

In order to become a Mine Surveyor, aspiring candidates have to pursue an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Mining Engineering Courses from some of the Top Minimg Engineering Colleges in the country. Apart from Undergraduate courses, students can also pursue various Diploma degree Mine Surveying.
