You are required to design a WF section steel column W12x106 (d=12.89 in and b-12.22 in.) at the first floor and its base plate. Assume that the column is only subject axial load and sits on an independent isolated concrete footing. The dead load on the column P, 320 Kips, live lad P =580, and wind load P =180 Kips. You are required to design base plate for this column.
