The second edition of’ Design of Small Dams has been very popular throughout the world; it has been published in a number of different languages and used extensively in the United Stat,es. Since the second edition was published in 1974, there have been significant revisions in the approaches and procedures related to the design of dams. Because of these revisions and the continued demand for this manual, it was decided that, this new third edition be prepared and published.
