A full survey of the target area is usually necessary to determine its exact boundaries and to ensure that any buildings or other structures constructed there will be safe.

In order to become a Mine Surveyor, aspiring candidates have to pursue an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Mining Engineering Courses from some of the Top Minimg Engineering Colleges in the country. Apart from Undergraduate courses, students can also pursue various Diploma degree Mine Surveying.
