CSI SAP2000 is a system of three-dimensional static and dynamic analysis using the finite element method and structural design.

SAP2000 follows principles whose main features are a modern, intuitive and versatile user interface based on a unique design core and structural design tools for engineers developing transport infrastructure, industrial and civil buildings, sports facilities and other facilities.

From a three-dimensional object-oriented modeling work environment to the widest range of design and structural design options integrated into one powerful user interface, SAP2000 – is the most integrated, productive and practical general purpose design complex available in today’s market. An intuitive interface allows you to create design models in the shortest possible time without a long learning process. Today you can use SAP2000 for all your calculation and design tasks, including small everyday tasks.

Complex models can be created and broken down into finite elements using built-in templates. Integrated structural design tools are capable of automatically generating wind, wave, transport and seismic loads on the model, as well as performing full automatic testing of steel and reinforced concrete elements in accordance with the design standards of various countries.

New design and analysis capabilities

• Extended reinforcement-concrete design. Support for the design of reinforced concrete frames according to ACI 318-25, Eurocode EN 1992-1-1:2023 and TCVN 5574:2018 (Vietnamese standard)
• Reinforced steel design. Added CSA S16-24 standard for steel frame design, and included Direct Analysis Method for CSA S16-19 stability

Improved modelling and elements

• Nonlinear solid elements with materials. Now solid volumetric elements can have nonlinear material behavior (for example, plasticity according to the Von Mises model)
• User Mesh. The ability to import or set your own grid for area elements (areas) and volumetric solid — improves the accuracy of local analysis
• Generation of solid objects along edge lines. A more flexible way to create 3D objects based on a set of lines, which speeds up the construction of complex geometry

Import/export and interaction

• OBJ format support. Added import and export of 3D models in format.OBJ for easier interaction with external CAD/CAE applications
